Nearly every town has a Mazu Temple. Lugang of course is not an exception. In the early 20th century Lugang has the most population in Central Taiwan. Now this role was taken by Taichung.
Everyday many people go there to pray for safety, love or other things.
Peoples donated to the temple and decorated the temple with traditional dragon relief.
This beautiful roof has been built 400 years ago.
Inside the temple what you can’t ignore is the ceiling. I don’t know how many skilled workers spent how many months to make this. But it is so beautiful and shining.
This ceiling seems to be older.
