Jiuzhaigou, in Winter

Posted by

Jiuzhaigou National Park, with hundreds of lakes, is popular in China. Every summer, you can see thousands of thousands of people crowding there.

However, in winter things changed.

Less cost, fewer people. Everything seems to help your trip.

So how about the landscape.

I took a plane from Chengdu Airport. 1 hour later, we landed at Jiuzhaihuanglong Airport, the highest airport in China and maybe in the world.

After some rest my feet started moving. What were shown in my eyes were silver-aqua-world. I have never seen a frozen waterfall before and it is beautiful.

The water was nice and clean. Snow mountain, trees and lakes made everything amazing.

There are not only water lakes but also iced lakes. This is called Panda Lake because there were some pandas living there.

For some magical chemical reasons, the bottom of lakes show blue and green.

To get to Jiuzhaigou, you can use train, bus and plane.

My suggestion is you fly from Chengdu to Jiuzhaihuanglong Airport (it taks 1 hour) and then take a taxi to Jiuzhaigou National Park (it takes 1.5 hours).
